Best Vegetarian dining spots in Dubai

01 Dec 2017

Many people are either cutting down on the amount of meat they eat, or leaving it off the menu altogether. Vegetarianism and Veganism is now not only trendy, but a healthy and delicious option, and there is an enormous range of vegetarian food on offer that’s spicy, flavoursome, and good for you too.

If you’re staying with us at the Premier Inn Dubai, you’ll find our restaurant serves a great choice of superb vegetarian options. But if you fancy eating out, where can you go to experience the best vegetarian dining spots in Dubai? Here are a few suggestions.

Rasoi Ghar, Bur Dubai

Indian food is common in Dubai, as the city has a large Asian population. So you’ll find plenty of top quality Indian restaurants, and this is one of the best. They specialise in food from the west of India, mainly from the Rajasthan and Gujarat regions. Expect a full menu of vegetarian dishes, including a few unusual ones. Dip delicious gatte ki subzi dumplings into a spicy sauce, while sipping on a smooth fruit juice blend. You’ll find this popular restaurant at Zainal Mohebi Plaza, Sheikh Zayed Bin Khalifa Road, and it’s best to book ahead as tables fill up quickly.

Wild and the Moon, Alserkal Avenue

Head over to the trendy arts district of Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz, and you’ll find plenty of vegetarian and vegan options to tempt you. One of the most popular is the contemporary and ultra-trendy Wild and the Moon café, with a menu that is full of superb, plant-based food. Tuck into salads, guilt-free deserts, and delicious cold-pressed, blended juice drinks, all in a stunning interior that uses natural wood furniture and plenty of plants to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Tidjoori, Dubai Marina

Small, incredibly popular, and with a complex and delicious menu of vegan fare on offer, this bio-organic and vegan café is buzzing with energy. Try their vegan veggie burgers and pizzas, and even the condiments (including the tomato sauce and mayonnaise) are vegan. For something truly delicious and special, try the almond burger.

Rangoli Vegetarian restaurant, Bur Dubai

If you’re dining on a budget, this Indian restaurant offers a fantastic selection of veggie dishes at wallet-friendly prices. You can tuck into unlimited vegetarian thali, which is a platter of small dishes that is topped up continually until you tell them you’ve had enough. A great way to dine with friends for just AED25 per person.

Comptior 102, Jumeirah Road

This restaurant specialises in gluten-free options, and recommendations from diners include the vegan cheesecake as a special favourite. Outdoor seating gives it a more relaxed feel, and wherever possible the restaurant uses organic vegetables to create its signature dishes.

Life’n’ One, Jumeirah Beach Road

This ultra-trendy café is hidden away but well worth discovering. It’s incredibly laid back and relaxed, and offers a wide choice of veggie dishes, including gluten-free, soy-free, and refined-sugar-free options. However, there’s nothing bland or boring about this little café’s menu, with a spicy blend of main dishes and snacks, washed down with some exotic juice blends. A great spot if you’re following a clean eating diet.
