Premier Inn Response to COVID-19

At Premier Inn, the health and wellbeing of our guests and team members is always our number one priority. In these unprecedented times, we will ensure all our guests can book with confidence, ensuring a safe stay for all by following the guidance from the government and local health departments.

Our team members are trained and well-practiced in good hygiene, receive regular temperature checks and are prepared with the required protective equipment to do their jobs safely.

We’d like to share with you the preventative measures we’ve put in place throughout our hotels in the Middle East.

Our Guests

On arrival at Premier Inn, we require all guests to have their temperature checked and to wear a face mask at all times when outside your room. Social distancing measures are in place, with all guests and team members to keep 2 metres apart from each other.

You’ll find our friendly team ready to greet you with a smile behind their masks. We’ve also installed protective screens at reception, with hand sanitiser readily available for guests and our team throughout the hotel.

If you’re using the lift, check the capacity limit to keep your distance from each other, and remember to carry all your luggage with you!

Our Rooms

As always, our rooms are cleaned and prepared to our highest standards using Ecolab hygiene and safety products throughout the guest journey.

After each departing guest, rooms are deep cleaned and sanitised by our housekeeping team and kept vacant for a minimum of 24 hours before the next guest checks in. All linen is laundered at 60°C, with shower curtains also washed and replaced after each guest. In addition, you’ll find our rooms are sealed once cleaned and sanitised, ready to welcome our next guest.

If you fancy a brew, our tea and coffee supplies are renewed and replaced for each and every guest. Need to make some notes, or forgotten your toothbrush? You can request our in-room amenities by calling reception.

We’re taking extra care when cleaning guest rooms during your stay. Our team members are protected with extra PPE and we have increased the frequency of cleaning for high-touch points in rooms. To maintain a social distance, we ask that guests leave the room for housekeeping duties for your convenience and safety.

Our Facilities

Guests will be informed at check-in which facilities that are unavailable during your stay. We’re sorry that not everything will be up and running, but we’re working to government guidance to implement measures to make sure our facilities can be re-opened soon.

Currently, the following facilities are unavailable across all our hotels:

  • Shuttle Bus Service
  • Swimming Pool
  • Gym
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Business Centres

Gradually, our hotels will reinstate these facilities when they are ready. Room Service is available in hotels where restaurants are not yet open.

Our Food & Beverages

We are following all local guidelines regarding our restaurant hours, occupancy limits and dining restrictions, and are continuing to follow the guidance of the government and our local health departments.

Our restaurants already have high standards for cleanliness, and a thorough procedure for cleaning our venues has always been in place. We will however, increase how often these procedures are completed, and provide all employees with updated training on restaurant cleanliness and sanitization. Additionally all restaurants will be deep cleaned before reopening.

We have introduced the following measures to help keep our people safe:

  • Floor markings are in place to maintain social distancing
  • We will provide additional protective equipment, including face masks and disposable gloves, for guests on request
  • All our Team Members receive temperature checks on arrival
  • All dine in guests will have temperature taken on arrival and be required to wear face masks when not consuming food or beverages

We will operate with much smaller teams in our restaurants and as a result will be returning with a limited menu. This will support social distancing in our kitchens, whilst still providing your favourite menu items.
