What is Premier Inn CleanProtect?

Premier Inn CleanProtect is our enhanced hotel cleaning promise. It strengthens our existing rigorous regime by adding in additional hygiene and safety measures right across the guest journey from check-in to check-out, designed to help keep guests – and teams – safe at this important time.

Here in the Middle East, we are working with Ecolab, a global leader in hygiene and infection prevention for the hospitality industry, to deliver our Premier Inn CleanProtect promise.

How often is my room cleaned?

Housekeeping services will operate daily, and we request our guests to leave the room whilst cleaning takes place to maintain social distancing. Any guests requiring new linen and towels, additional pillows or tea and coffee replenishments, you just need to call reception who will be happy to help.

What re-assurance can I get about the cleaning products you are using?

We have a longstanding partnership with Ecolab – a global leader in hygiene and infection prevention solutions for the hospitality industry. We are using chemicals that conform to the USA EPA Regulations. In Qatar, we partner with Diversey, one of the world’s leading suppliers of cleaning and hygiene products, that sanitise our rooms to the European Standard of EN14476 for viricidal efficacy. All chemicals used are effective against COVID-19.

What checks are you doing on staff members to ensure they are healthy to work?

Nothing is more important to us than the wellbeing of our guests and team. Our team members receive regular temperature checks whilst at work, and are provided with hand sanitiser and PPE equipment whilst at work. Systems are also in place for our team members to report any symptoms to their line manager at the onset.

How is the health of other guests managed? Is there a process for reporting this?

On arrival, all guests are required to complete a temperature check and a face mask is to be worn in public areas at all times, in line with government guidance. If a guest records a temperature of above 37.2°C, an Isolation Room is provided until medical advice is received.

As of 1 Janaury 2021, temperature checks of guests is no longer required in Dubai hotels, in line with government guidelines.

For guests that advise us they are self-isolating, we provide self-isolation guidelines, and a line of contact with our hotel team during your stay. You are not allowed to leave your room until the end of your isolation period.

We cannot accommodate guests who require medical care or those who have tested positive for COVID-19.
