7 Fun-Filled Family Days Out in Dubai

Planning a trip with kids in Dubai? We’ve put together our best family days out to experience in Dubai.

Whether you’re seeking a budget-friendly family day out at the beach or park, or want the adrenaline rush in the form of thrills and adventures at Dubai’s top theme parks, water parks and attractions you’ll be spoilt for choice with our family activities in Dubai. So, what will you do?

1. Kite Beach

Nothing screams fun family day out more than a trip to the beach! With perfect temperatures, and miles of stunning coastline, Dubai boasts some of the best spots for a day at the beach. Kite Beach is a great location to feel the sand between your toes, and take a dip in the clear blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. Kids will love the open space to run around, or get creative when building a sandcastle empire on the beach. And, as the name suggests, you can catch the wind a fly a kite too!

2. Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark

For a water-based family day out in Dubai, take a trip to Atlantis Aquaventure – the world’s largest waterpark! Found on the crescent of The Palm, it offers the best of all water worlds with over 105 slides plus splash zones, lazy rivers and beach access rated Dubai’s No.1 Water Park on TripAdvisor. Whether you’re 3, 33 or 63 you’ll have the best family day out splashing around Atlantis. You can also extend your visit with a stop at The Lost Chambers Aquarium, filled with creatures of the deep!

3. Motiongate at Dubai Parks and Resorts

For adrenaline adventures for little and big kids, zip down to Motiongate at Dubai Parks and Resorts. You can experience Hollywood right here in Dubai, with themed-rides from blockbuster movies Green Hornet, Ghostbusters and Underworld. Visit The Smurf’s Village, say hi to Shrek and friends or soar above the Panem capital and districts on The Hunger Games experience. Stay close to the adventure at Premier Inn Ibn Battuta Mall, just 15 minutes by car to Dubai Parks & Resorts.

4. Aventura Parks

Burn off that extra energy at Aventura Parks. A nature-themed adventure park, it’s Dubai’s largest zip-line park with it’s high ropes course in Mushrif Park, Mirdif. With over 80 exciting challenges available for all ages and difficulty levels, unleash your inner adventurer with a trip to the adventure park.

5. The Green Planet

For children who love animals, or are yet to discover the creatures of the rainforest, a trip to The Green Planet is a must. Located in City Walk, just 10 minutes by car from Premier Inn Dubai Al Jaddaf, the tropical indoor rain forest is home to over 3000 plants and animals such as sloths, bats, birds and reptiles. For those who dare, you can snorkel with piranhas or experience a tropical thunderstorm and selected times during the day. Fun isn’t limited to just the day time, you can visit The Green Planet after dark, or even become a zookeeper for the day!

6. Desert Adventures

If it’s your first time in Dubai, or you just keep coming back – a trip out into the desert is a must for kids and adults alike. Create unforgettable memories with camel rides, sandboarding or going on a desert safari to spot Arabian Oryx and Gazelles aplenty. You can take a self-drive tour to Al Qudra Lakes, or book onto an experience with Arabian Adventures and experience the dunes like never before.

7. Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park gets you closer to the animal kingdom than ever before. You can feed the giraffes, spot the cheetahs and say hello to the flamingos during your visit.
