They’ll learn to enjoy dining out from a young age, and you’ll love your food all the more when it’s this enjoyable and relaxing.

Whether you’re looking for a quick bite during a retail therapy session or are seeking somewhere the children can have fun and play, here’s our top pick of restaurants to try in Doha.

Stay in-house at Omnia

Make sure they’re getting their 5-a-day as well as enjoying plenty of fun and exercise when you book a table at Chef’s Garden. Located in Doha’s Education City, this firm family favourite offers a good choice of dishes that all ages will enjoy, made using locally-sourced, organic produce.

There’s a good-sized lawn area with play equipment, so the little ones can run around between courses. There’s also a supervised soft play area, where staff will look after your kids (aged over three years old) giving the grown-ups a little bit of peace to relax and savour your meal even more.

Fast food for all the family

If your kids (and you) can’t get enough of fast food, head to Gulf Mall, where you’ll find local and international favourites serving up everything from burgers and pizza to falafel and salted caramel milkshakes. French bakery chain Brioche Doree at the mall offers a wide range of lighter bites, including a dedicated children’s menu. You can indulge your sweet tooth too, with the delicious choice of cupcakes and tarts all washed down with a freakshake.

After enjoying your meal, extend the family outing with a browse around the shops, or spend time on the rides and games at Go Fun family entertainment centre in the mall.
