Premier Inn recognised with two Dubai Sustainable Tourism Stamps

Premier Inn is celebrating a significant sustainability achievement, with Premier Inn Dubai Al Jaddaf and Premier Inn Dubai Ibn Battuta Mall both receiving the prestigious Bronze Dubai Sustainable Tourism Stamp (DST) in the second cycle of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism’s (DET) sustainability initiative.

This marks the second consecutive DST Stamp for Dubai Al Jaddaf, which was first recognised in the inaugural edition of the awards, while Dubai Ibn Battuta Mall proudly receives the recognition for the first time.

Launched in July 2023, the DST stamp recognises hotels that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainable practices, aligning with Dubai’s ambitious environmental goals and vision for a green future. Hotels are evaluated against a comprehensive set of ‘19 sustainability requirements’, covering areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and team member engagement.

In this second cycle, 153 hotels across Dubai have been awarded the DST Stamp — a 118 per cent increase compared to the 70 hotels recognised in the first edition. This growth reflects the commitment of the hospitality sector in Dubai to prioritising sustainability, and reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a sustainable destination.

Simon Leigh, Managing Director, Premier Inn Middle East, commented: “We are proud to have two of our hotels recognised with the Dubai Sustainable Tourism Stamp, demonstrating Premier Inn’s commitment to responsible business practices. Sustainability is at the heart of our operations, and these green stamps align perfectly with our ‘Force For Good’ programme, which focuses on making a positive impact on our environment, communities and people. Massive congratulations to the Al Jaddaf and Ibn Battuta teams for their dedication and hard work.”

Pawel Guminski, Cluster General Manager Dubai International Airport and Dubai Al Jaddaf and Niumal Fernando, General Manager Dubai Ibn Battuta Mall attended the ceremony along with Ibrahim Mandor, Cluster Security and Government Relations Manager.
