The end of November sees one of the most important F1 events of the year, the Abu-Dhabi Grand Prix. Over 305km and 55 laps, the world’s greatest drivers will battle it out for glory and to be the first past that chequered flag. Seats are selling out quickly, so you’ll need to be as fast as Lewis Hamilton to grab one before they’re all gone.
At Premier Inn Abu Dhabi, we’re getting ready to welcome thousands of racing fans from all over the world, as they pour into the city ready for the big day. Practice starts on Friday 23rd November, with the big race on Sunday 25th.
Where is the race?
The F1 Abu Dhabi race is held at the purpose-built Yas Marina Circuit, on Yas Island and in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Easy to get to and well served by public transport and shuttle buses, it’s also got plenty to see and do for all ages, even if you’re not sure what Poll Position means, and you don’t know your McLaren’s from your Ferraris.
On Yas Island, where you’ll find the main circuit, there’s also lots for families to see and do, including the incredible Ferrari World, and one of the biggest waterparks in the Middle East, with over 40 rides, slides and attractions to thrill and entertain all ages.
If you want to get a quick round of golf in between the practice laps and the race on Sunday, then head over to the beautifully designed Yas Links Abu Dhabi – the only true links course in the UAE.
In the evenings there are plenty of world-class restaurants to try, or you can book a table at your Premier Inn hotel for a delicious meal on a budget. It’s the ideal option if you’re here with the family.
